1.2 Myr Band of Earth?Mars Obliquity Modulation on the Evolution of Cold Late Miocene to Warm Early Pliocene Climate

چکیده
The climatic transitions during the Miocene-Pliocene epochs had significant impacts on worldwide biological diversity and were associated with large turnovers of continental vegetation fauna. Previous studies have shown that late Miocene cooling aridification which was initiated 7 Ma reversed to warm conditions across Boundary ?5.3 Ma. Here, we present detailed orbital pacing Asian monsoon deposits constrain further global climate change this period. We produce high-resolution magnetic susceptibility records reveal 1.2 Myr obliquity modulation would been main driving factor warming occurred ?7 5.3 Ma, respectively. Northern Hemisphere Glaciation during the Globally Warm Early Late Pliocene
The early Late Pliocene (3.6 to ∼3.0 million years ago) is the last extended interval in Earth's history when atmospheric CO2 concentrations were comparable to today's and global climate was warmer. Yet a severe global glaciation during marine isotope stage (MIS) M2 interrupted this phase of global warmth ∼3.30 million years ago, and is seen as a premature attempt of the climate system to estab...
متن کاملClimate stability during the Pliocene warm period
[1] We present a high-resolution climate record from a sediment core spanning an 80-kyr interval of time during the mid-Pliocene epoch, when warmer conditions and lower global ice volume prevailed worldwide. Oxygen and carbon isotope analyses were made on benthic and planktonic foraminifera from ODP Site 981 in the North Atlantic. The amplitude and approximate recurrence interval of suborbital ...

15 صفحه اولQuantitative analysis, basin evolution and paleoecology of Early Miocene ostracods in the southwest of Kerman, Iran
This paper focuses on the quantitative analyses of Early Miocene ostracods in south and north of the Sirjan area, southwest of Kerman. Detailed studies resulted in identification of 23 species of ostracoda. The coexisting benthic foraminifera and comparing the identified microfauna assemblages with previous studies confirms the Early Miocene age for the strata. The quantitative analysis show a ...
متن کاملthe effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)
cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
